How it Works: 

  1. You register for your camp or tournament (or both)

  2. Go to https://cavechess.cc/rebate, and fill out the form with your name, ID, and tournament, and the name, ID and tournament of the person who registered as a co-player with you.     2025 Rebates  www.cavechess.cc/rebates  Please click the link to complete this form.

  3. If your co-player registers for more than one event, list them multiple times for each event.

  4. Both you and your co-players show up and start the tournament or camp

  5. Within 15 business days after the end of the Festival (July 27), you and your co-players will receive an email with a downloadable e-check that you can print and deposit normally at your bank.

  6. We will rely on your reporting and you and the player’s showing up to determine your rebate. Please be sure your reporting is correct – we won’t have time to fix or check reporting errors.

 Special Note: If planning goes well, we will have announcements at the camp and tournaments regarding special discounts for 2026 Caveman Chess Festival events.

Notice that this works especially well if a school team or a group of friends wanted to attend.

For example - one player enters the US Junior (or US Senior or Medior for that matter.)

That player starts by paying full price. But then that player gets five friends to register. After the event, each “friend-player” will be rebated $30, significantly decreasing their tournament cost. But then the top player receives an additional $100 rebate. This means:

  1. The players could each keep only their own rebate.

  2. All six players could split the $100 rebate

  3. All six players could split $250 (the $100 rebate plus the $150 of rebates to the five “friend players.”)

Each of these methods provide a significant savings to the group.
